Currently – The July Edition

Man, this year.  I can’t keep up.  I feel like I’ve barely registered that it’s summertime — it’s been work, work, work around here.  But I have registered the heat and I hate to say it, but I’m ready for some chillier weather now.  And some fall foliage.  And maybe even some Christmas tunes (Christmas in July, anyone?).  But I’m not ready to say goodbye to tomatoes.  Nothing says “summer” like delicious tomatoes.

Lately I’m …

Drinking:  Homemade cold brew coffee (with a little Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer).

Reading:  This nutrition-related article.  It seems like every time I turn around something new is the worst or best food I could be eating according to so-and-so.  It’s nice to see “health” foods ranked this way.  I found the article thanks to Hallie of Corals and Cognacs, who just shared a fun “day in the life of a fitness instructor” post.  Also, this is just full of good work (and life) reminders.

Eating:  Sea Salt and Turbinado Sugar Chocolate Almonds from Trader Joe’s.  They are good.  So, so good.

Trying:  The Nike Training Club app.  I ran a 10K on July 4th and got all inspired again to prioritize my exercise routine.  I’m currently working my way through a 6-week body weight-only endurance training plan and I love it.

Wearing:  Essie Ballet Slippers.  I love pretty much any pale pink nail polish, but this one might be perfect.
