Dutch Dutch Baby

Dutch Dutch Baby. Ding ding ding di-di ding ding.  Channeling this classic, of course.

The other day our schedules lined up and my mom, my sister, and I ended up working from home together.  As a result, we had a day full of the best food breaks.  We started the day with this Dutch Baby with Strawberries and Pistachios from Cooking Light.

I’ve been wanting to try a Dutch Baby for a long time and this one did not disappoint.  Watching it puff up in the oven was so much fun — I mean, just look at those little air pockets!

The pancake itself was a perfect base — I loved the strawberries tossed with lemon juice and zest, but you could easily use all kinds of things as a topping.  Other berries, drizzled Nutella, honey, etc.  Mmmmmmm!

Oh and we added powdered sugar, mostly for looks, but also because we could.

  1. So jealous! I love Dutch Babies! Used to have them when I lived in LA – they take awhile, but worth the wait. You’ve inspired me to make one soon – and I love the strawberry twist – I’ve only ever had apple dutch babies.
